Dear Friends,

Ever since childhood I’ve had the desire to create and true love for beauty, make-up and fashion. So for me it was just a natural choice to follow my passion and start my education at The House of Orange make-up school in Amsterdam.
After graduation I realised my interests reached further than only make-up, so I took the next step and started studying at the Thomas Institute Hairschool in Rotterdam. Once completed, my wish was to separate myself from the mass and in 2008 I started as an independent hair and make-up artist.

I’m in constant search of inspiration, wich I find in meeting new people, clients and trough one of the many perks in my work, being able to travel all over the world. Trips to South Africa, New York, Los Angeles, Venice, Malta, Sicily etc. The difference in cultures have inspired me to continuously keep an eye on new faces, colours, styles, textures, techniques and creations.

In the past years I have worked in many fields of expertise. From editorial to commercial, portraits to high-end fashion shows. As a result of that I have build a solid base of clients such as Sanoma, Audax, Footlocker, Zenggi, Prominent and others.
I have worked with celebrities, designers, actors, singers and writers, Koos van den Akker, Sven Kramer, Victor Reinier, Miryanna van Rheeden, Celine Purcell, Mariana Verkerk, Greg Vaughan, Marco Borsato, Alain Clark, Josje Huisman, Iris Kroes, Donna Tart, Jill Mansell and others.

Since the start in 2008 I assisted several make-up artists for different designers presenting on the AIFW. Badgley Mischka, Edwin Oudshoorn, Dennis Diem, Claes Iversen, Sjaak Hullekes, Muchachomalo and more. One of the places where my passion for beauty, be creative and discover new trends is put in to practice.

I am continuing to push myself beyond limits and work up to the best I can be. My love to create beautyful hair and make-up concepts, my ability to absorb and adapt to my clients wishes has made me into the person and professional I am today.

Be inspired, be amazed, fall in love,

Marja
